The Vigiljoch is the
highest peak of the Marlengo mountains (1,795 metres above sea level). Numerous
hiking trails run through its extensive forests. The mountain slope is steep, but the paths run slowly, steadily ascending. During the summer months, the tight forest offers
ideal walking conditions. In the upper part of the route, you can enjoy clear high mountain air, as well as wonderful panoramic views of the
Dolomites, the
Ortler and the
Texel Group.
It is worth visiting the
St. Vigil chapel and the Dirty Lough pond at the Seespitz mountain.
Accessible:
Via the Vigiljoch suspension
cable railway from Lana
(300 metres) to the mountain terminal (1,486 metres).
From there with the cable car to the Larchbühel or
approximately 1 hour by foot to the summit.
